Full Day White Water Rafting
After an early breakfast this morning, you will be collected from the lodge and transferred into town to the meeting point for a rafting trip. After registering and signing an indemnity form, there is a quick video and initial safety talk. A bus full of intrepid explorers then departs for the thirty-five minute drive out to the gorge. Here the guides are met and all equipment is issued to size. A full safety talk and demonstration is then given and the descent into the gorge begins. The full day rafting trip starts here and covers ten to fifteen rapids, ranging from Grade 2 to Grade 5. Lunch is served on a riverbank – a two-hour break with some beach volleyball and games included. After lunch there are about four more rapids and the day ends with a very steep walk up the cliff to the car park where drinks are served and certificates handed out.
