Victoria Falls Safari Lodge
Victoria Falls Safari Lodge is a magnificent lodge located some four kilometres from the centre of town. The décor is traditionally African with an impressive wood and thatch structure. The central communal area has staggered levels, each with superb African art features, creating a feeling of spaciousness. On the ground level is the reception area, an informal lounge, two dining rooms, a television lounge, travel shop, bar, pool and deck. On the first level is the Makuwa–kuwa Restaurant where breakfast and a la carte dinner are served.
The second level houses a games room with chess and other board games, and a small conference room. The top level has a small library, which leads onto a balcony that looks over a waterhole and across to the national park. The bar, deck, pool and lounge areas all overlook the waterhole which attracts a variety of game including elephant, buffalo and many antelope species. A shuttle service runs hourly from the lodge into town.
Situated on the grounds of the lodge is the Boma Restaurant, a worthwhile and highly recommended gastronomic experience. African dancing and singing accompany an endless buffet of traditional African and international cuisine - you can even sample fried mopane worms and other local delicacies!
