Musango Safari Camp
Musango Safari Camp is situated on its own island, just off the shoreline of the Matusadona National Park. Offering an abundance of wildlife from buffalo and elephants to the rare black rhino, Musango Safari Camp is also an ornithologists paradise with a myriad of birds to be seen frequenting the birdbaths in front of the lodge and rooms. On offer too, for that something extra special, are two six-bedded private tented camps, one in the national park and one on the island. Musango also offers moonlit dinners on a floating pontoon. Access is direct from Kariba to camp by floatplane or by private charter to the nearby airstrip at Bumi.

Under thatch, the large luxurious safari tents each have en suite bathrooms built out of natural stone. The verandas offer panoramic views across the bay of the Matusadona National Park and mountains whilst the swimming pool area and the bar/lounge platform are an excellent place from which to view game.

From walking safaris and big 5 game drives, to tiger fishing on Lake Kariba; guests can encounter the abundant wildlife in a multitude of ways. Activities are fun, informal and operated by trained and experienced guides. Whether you choose to fill your day exploring the area, or simply relaxing and soaking up the ambiance of wild Africa, the friendly staff are happy to accommodate your every wish. Guests can also track wild black rhino in the adjacent rhino sanctuary. Musango is also involved in the Painted Dog reintroduction project. This is an ongoing research project and guests are guaranteed sightings of these wonderful creatures.

The accommodation at Musango consists of 6 large twin luxurious safari tents, each with an en-suite bathroom built of natural stone. Musango also boasts two large honeymoon suites with private plunge pools. These tented rooms are set in thick forest, and all face east over the lake, towards the rising sun.
