Tarangire Tree Tops
Located outside the Park within a private conservation area of 57,000 acres. 20 luxury en-suite thatched tree-houses built among a cluster of Baobab, Mopani and Wild Fig trees, Tarangire's stunningly original giant en-suite tree houses are all equipped with private verandas that have sweeping views over the surrounding bush. The Treetop rooms have ensuite bathroom facilities with running water, standard shower and flushing toilets. The reception area reveals an artistically constructed area built in local material that leads to the main restaurant, with panoramic views of the landscape, hugged around a baobab tree. A few steps down to the left of the Tarangire Treetops, the extension leads way to the swimming pool with sun chairs to relax on time off from wildlife watching and game viewing. What Tarangire Treetops refer to as "Tree homes" as literally lodge rooms that built around real live trees in way that strikes a balance between creating a one of kind experience yet still assuring that the Tarangire ecosystem is maintained in the best manner possible. Destinations Africa Comment – the manager Chris was very friendly and gave us an extended tour. Because of the access to at least some of the tents (ie via a narrow spiral stair), it would be hard to accommodate anyone with walking difficulties. The access road to this lodge is absolutely dreadful.
