Foxes Safari Park Mikumi

This is a tented camp located in the Mikumi National Park.  It is a small, personalised camp set up on a rocky kopjie (hill) on the Mkata flood plain, it presides over the best game viewing area of the park, the Mwanamboga waterhole.  There are high concentrations of game in the park, with large herds of Nyasa Blue Wildebeest, (not found in Ruaha National Park), buffalo, impala, zebra and giraffe.  The 8 custom designed tents on wooden platforms are sited around the rock kopje overlooking the floodplain.  Each tent has ensuite facilities, mosquito nets and a private veranda.  The dining area and main lounge is located on the top of the kopje where it commands 360 degree views.

All game drives around the park are taken in open 4 wheel drive vehicles. These vehicles have been designed to ensure maximum visibility for all passengers. All have 2 way radios in case of emergency. The game drives are led by a trained, experienced English speaking guide who will ensure that you get the most out of every safari you make.

Destinations Africa Comment – Clients will have to be fit as they will have quite a climb to the common areas (eg dining).  Hopefully the food will be better than in Vuma Hills which was outstandingly bad.
