Bazaruto Island

Secluded on Bazaruto Island, in an archipelago off the coast of Mozambique, is the incomparable Bazaruto Lodge. Accommodation on the island is in one of twenty-six comfortable, en suite A-frame thatch chalets nestling among the forested sand dunes. The restaurant offers a variety of fresh seafood daily and the attractive open-air bar encourages guests to meet new friends. There is also a swimming pool and games room. Activities on offer include sailing, surf and game fishing, snorkelling, diving, trips to nearby islands, walks and drives around the island and dhow trips.

The lodge overlooks the Mozambique Channel, where at low tide particularly, the bird life is excellent.  This is a small lodge for those wanting a peaceful, get away from it all holiday; dress is casual at all times and tropical wear is usually sufficient.
