Satao Elerai

Satao Elerai is an eco friendly luxury camp tucked away in the corner of the famous Amboseli Ecosystem, close to the Amboseli National Park on the slopes of Kilimanjaro.  The Satao Elerai Conservancy forms the critical wildlife corridor linking the Kilimanjaro Forest Reserve in Tanzania and the Amboseli National Park is characterized by dramatic landscape cut through by a 30 meter deep ravine. The general elevation of the conservancy is a couple of hundred meters above the Amboseli pan and therefore offers great view to the National Park.   

The activities offered at the lodge include morning, evening, full-day and night game drives as well as game walks which can give a unique perspective on game viewing.  Satao Elerai can arrange introductions to the conservancy’s Masai community who are happy to share their knowledge about lighting a fire, using local plants for medical purposes and how to survive in the middle of the bush.
