Batteleur Club

Overlooking the endless game-filled plains of the Masai Mara and shaded by a dense forest canopy, Bateleur Club is an oasis of Hemingway-style tents nestled below the Oloololo Escarpment in a vast conservation area adjoining the Masai Mara National Park.

Each tent’s luxurious veranda offers sweeping views over the greatest grassland system on earth, still under the guardianship of the pastoral Masai tribe. Each of the nine luxurious tents is tastefully furnished with a large double bed in the centre, overhead fans and a separate shower tent with flush loo.

The camp has a secluded swimming pool where lunch is served under the shade of indigenous trees.  Breakfast and dinner are served in the main dining area.

Besides witnessing the ancient and often tragic spectacle of the migration, other marvels include black-maned lions, cheetah, giraffe, elephant, red-tailed monkeys and a host of antelope. During your stay enjoy game drives, a bushwalk with resident guides and naturalists to reveal the wonders of the eco-system or visit a Masai cultural village.
